Pleuroplex

Pleuroplex

Pleuroplex is an antibacterial drug containing spiramycin in the form
of adipic acid. It is effective against gram-positive and gram
-negative microorganisms.
It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases, dysentery,
streptococcosis, MMA syndrome, salmonellosis, leptospirosis, chlamydia,
cryptosporidiosis. The composition of the drug includes spiramycin in the form of adipic acid,
which is a macrolide. The drug has a bacteriostatic effect, inhibits
the adhesion of bacteria to epithelial cells (especially gram-positive cocci, such as
Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus spp.).
Due to its high lipophilicity, spiramycin penetrates well into many tissues and
body environments, creating concentrations in them 20 times higher than in blood serum, which
is confirmed by the relatively large volume of distribution of the drug. Its high
concentrations are determined in the tissues of the upper and lower parts of the respiratory
system, including the infraorbital sinuses, mucous membranes of the nasal cavity, larynx,
especially with their inflammation or hyperplasia, lung tissue (both normal and
inflamed with areas of atelectasis), bronchial secretions, sputum.
It is well absorbed, the maximum concentration in the blood is reached 3-6 hours after
administration of the drug. Metabolites are excreted from the body mainly with feces.

It is used with water for drinking pigs in a dosage of 0.66-1.0 g per 10 kg
of animal body weight for 5-7 days;

Packaging: bags of 100 g, 500 g and 1000 g, bags of 10 and 20 kg.
