Ecoplex VSP 24.5% is an antibacterial drug containing valnemulin 24.5%,
as well as auxiliary components: sodium benzoate and anhydrous glucose.
It has a bacteriostatic effect against gram-negative bacteria
(Mycoplasma spp., Treponema hyodysenteriae, Brachyspira spp, Haemophilus spp,
Actinobacillus lignieresi, Momxella catarahalis, Lawsonia intracellularis, Pasteurella multocida,
Omithobacterium rhinotracheale, Campylobacter spp.) and gram-positive bacteria
(Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.. Clostridium perfringens and Clostridium difficle, Listeria
monocytogenes, Eiysipelothrix rhusiopathiae).It is used for dysentery, ileitis, colitis,
streptococcosis and severe forms of pneumonia complicated by infections.
The concentration of the active substance remains at the therapeutic level
for 6-12 hours, is metabolized in the liver, and is excreted from the body as
metabolites together with feces and partially with urine. The drug does not have
a teratogenic (violation of embryonic development) effect on
pregnant sows, on animal spermatogenesis and on the reproductive system of animals.
