LYSINE   the first limiting amino acid in pig feed and the second after methionine in poultry feed. With a lack of lysine in feed efficiency of protein biosynthesis in animals is reduced. Lysine contained in cereals is usually absorbed by 75-85%, animal protein lysine – by 85-95%. Lysine biosynthetic utilized 100%. In all commonly used pig rations lysine is significantly ahead of other amino acids. Available lysine is more fully used for the synthesis of proteins especially necessary for the formation of skeletal tissues, enzymes and hormones.
